It’s great to meet you.
My desire to work as a therapist began in my undergraduate years as I studied American Literature, poetry, and creative writing. I was drawn to stories, to the relational component in each character I encountered. I was fascinated by what they were trying to communicate and the lengths to which they would go to be known — both by themselves and those around them. Each character, each narrator, seemed to be communicating longing, need, or desire for connection — or lamenting the loss of it.
I received my BA in English Literature from Northwest University in Kirkland, WA. Over a decade later, I received an MA in Counseling Psychology from the Seattle School of Theology & Psychology and completed the school’s concentration in Trauma & Abuse. I recently completed The Allender Center’s Narrative Focused Trauma Care Level II certification as well.
In my free time, you can find me reading, writing poetry, drinking coffee, playing outside, spending time with my people, or sneaking in a much-needed nap.
